 Karl and Barbara Zinner began A*Advantage Home Care, Inc. fourteen years ago. Utilizing Karl's knowledge and expertise in the home building industry, along with Barbara's business and human relations skills, they created a residential care facility for the elderly.
Karl's warm demeanor and humorous nature is contagious for the residents. He oversees the maintenance of the facility, ensuring it is safe, secure, and well maintained. Moreover, he purchases all of the food and supplies for the residents several times a week. With his broad background in home building, Karl facilitates all property acquisition and renovation for A*Advantage Home Care, Inc.
A successful businesswoman, Barbara owned and operated Bright Ideas, a lucrative corporate gift-buying and wrapping business, while raising her two sons.
She and Karl later co-owned and operated Address Improvements, a home-building customer service company. Their business extended from Northern and Southern California to Arizona, where they maintained a 60-employee staff.
Barbara stays in close contact with her residents, their families and staff, and oversees and facilitates every aspect of their care, including daily activities and events, doctor's appointments and paperwork.
When they are not traveling, Karl and Barbara enjoy entertaining, cooking and gardening. They both love to read, take walks and work on family albums. Barbara has been clogging for the last five years and loves this new exercise.
